Warrior Penguin

Warrior Penguins are an attempt to get closer to the notions of strangeness and stranger. Since 2006, the project consists in spreading minimalist figurines (height: 33 cm, diameter: 20 cm) in illegal way (which is inspired by the graffiti’s movement) in the museums, at private homes... The goal is to create an enigmatic and repetitive sign. Warrior Penguins are made of porcelain, a material that give them delicacy, valuableness and beauty, and that is linked with extreme fragility. If they are small, it’s to express a kind of invisibility. At least, they’re the symbol of the silent witness, who sees, can’t react, but by its presence changes the event he sees.
